Riding for recovery!
by Graham Ross
Once again, we held the Teen Challenge SA Inc Ride 4 Rehab 2024; however, this year was organised with a difference. The difference is that it was a joint effort in putting on the event between the Teen Challenge SA administration office and the Longriders Christian Motorcycle Club Adelaide Chapter – and what a wonderful day we had!
We started with a record number of motorcycles (53 bikes), with women and men coming together for a day of friendship and fun, starting with a coffee from Coffee Run and then heading off in a pack as well as we could, travelling along the Southern Express Way with a pit stop at Mt Compass.
We had another coffee at a local bakery and enjoyed each other’s company. From there, we proceeded to our destination, the Crown Hotel at Victor Harbor, for lunch and more fellowship. We also heard a wonderful testimonial from one of the riders, Cailan, of how the Lord transformed his life through the ministry of Teen Challenge SA. Teen Challenge SA was then blessed to receive a $2000 donation from the Longriders, making a total of funds raised $2425.
To end the day, we ended up at the Meadows Bakery Pik a Pie, and all departed our way home. Thanks again to the Longriders Christian Motorcycle Club for their support – let’s do it again next year!
