Established globally nearly 60 years ago, Teen Challenge has grown to more than 1400 affiliate centres in over 129 nations around the globe. Our residential program has been one of the largest and most effective substance abuse recovery and prevention programs of its kind.
Teen Challenge South Australia was established in 1982 and is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a board of directors.
Our Living Free program provides live-in residential treatment and rehabilitation services for men aged 18 and up. Our rehabilitation facility is located in the semi-rural town of Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula, 55 kilometres from Adelaide.
We provide men with a unique and rare opportunity to rebuild their lives. We have a holistic approach to their recovery supported by a wide range of staff and volunteers.
We don’t receive government funding to run our program, so the shortfall in our clients’ Centrelink contribution is subsidised by the generous donations of our supporters.
Our Teen Challenge Living Free program has a proven track record in helping people address key issues in their lives and grow to their full potential. That means eliminating self-destructive habits by meeting the needs of the whole person. We don’t just help with addictions and other life-controlling issues – we help people grow by rebuilding their self-image, work ethic, relationships and spiritual awareness.
