End of a chapter for Eddy
After approximately nine years of working with us, Eddy is moving on.
Eddy first heard about Teen Challenge SA through his youth work placement. He then started volunteering at the homelessness shelter in Whitmore Square in Adelaide. Like many, Eddy felt the call to the ministry for the lost. He decided that after his placement, he would commit to his faith and to the ministry of supporting those with addiction.
Over the nine years, Eddy has worked in many different roles, from public speaking and awareness to case management and client intake. Most recently he was the manager of the Living Free program.
‘I credit my success to the support of those who have stood beside me through the ministry. The challenges of the ministry were all worth it because of those on my team and the amazing clients’, he says.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we could not send Eddy off in the usual big gathering. Despite this, Eddy was able to enjoy lunch with the students. He also received some thoughtful gifts and words of encouragement before he left.
We thank Eddy for his long service to Teen Challenge SA and for the many lives he has influenced.
